“Back To The Basics!”

"For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." ~2 Corinthians 11:2

What does godly jealousy mean? How can that be? Aren't we not supposed to be jealous? And um what does it mean that I am betrothed to one husband? And what EXACTLY is chaste virgin? Why doesn't it just say virgin...is there a difference?

Do Something!

30Aug10

“Back To The Basics!”

In 2 Kings chapter 5 is the story of Naaman; how he was healed by washing in the Jordan (river) seven times. If we read the story we see that Naaman was not happy with this solution. He was expecting something "greater" and more instantaneous. However the Lord works in ways we cannot comprehend as humans. The Lord could have had Elisha wave his hands and he could have been instantaneously healed. However Naaman had to DO something to show his faith and obedience in order to get the promise of God, which was healing.

In this study we also study stories in Joshua and 2 Kings chapter 6 dealing with the same thing. This is powerful revelation...make sure you get it!

“Back To The Basics!”

"...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and lets run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..." ~Hebrews 12:1-2

Does your endurance throughout the race matter if you get to the finish line? And what does that have to do with Christianity and God?

War!!

16Aug10

“Back To The Basics!”

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh." ~2 Corinthians 10:3

What the heck does that mean?

"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the sword of God" ~Ephesians 6:17 For these are the weapons of true war. The war that is not of the flesh. But why?

“Back To The Basics!”

This is from June 6, 2010.

We will be taking a break from the live calls for a couple weeks. This is the last podcast until June 27th. We will be doing a lot of traveling so please keep us in your prayers! The plan is to regroup on June 27th with fresh revelation!

Until then this is an important message having to to with the mission of Tru Promisez. To expose the truth about sex.

Ephesians 5:5 says "No one will have a place in the kingdom of Christ and God who sin sexually."

Why? God loves us! So when he tells us not to do something it's for our own good. He knows that if you sin sexually you're bringing the curse upon yourself because He knows that with sexual sin comes soul ties, STD's, HIV, pregnancy, heartache etc. He doesn't want that for you.

But the harsh reality is that people don't truly understand this. Here are some shocking facts for you about what is happening physically as well as spiritually.

What is sin?

29Apr10

“Back To The Basics!”

Sorry about the delay getting these podcasts up!

This is from April 11, 2010.

1 Corinthians 6:9 says “No one has ever seen this, and no one has ever heard about it. No one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (NCV)

Well that's a mouth full! And a pretty good reason to love him huh? But for real; This scripture means more than you could ever imagine in your life, destiny and eternity.

Many people wonder; If this is true, why do people sin? Well that brings us to the question of what is sin? It's not only the cliche "doing something bad like stealing or murdering." Despite what people think. Some of the greatest "Do-good" religious people are sinning every day.

I am currently reading the book "The Reason For God" by Timothy Keller. In today's bible study I share revelation I got from a certain chapter in this book in correlation with the scripture in 2 Corinthians I read.

To sum it up quickly: "Everybody has to live for something. Whatever that something is becomes "lord of your life," whether you think of it that way or not. Jesus is the only Lord who, if you receive him, will fulfill you completely and if you fail him, will forgive you eternally." ~Timothy Keller

Fence believer?

26Apr10

“Back To The Basics!”

Sorry about the delay getting these podcasts up!

This is from April 4, 2010.

HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY (EASTER) !

Are you a Fence Believer?

1 Corinthians 5:11 says “I am writing to tell you that you must not associate with those who call themselves believers in Christ but who sin sexually, or are greedy, or worship idols, or abuse others with words, or get drunk, or cheat people. Do not even eat with people like that.”

Wow...a little harsh? Well these are some good examples of decisions to be made on a daily basis... while we're on the subject choices. Also a good example of how you can't be on the fence. Can you call yourself a Christian, yet still do all these (or even one of these) things? Well what does it matter and how does it affect your life as a believer, with a relationship with God? Or as a non-believer, or just no relationship with God?

Well what does love mean? and how does it come out of this scripture?
